Sometiems we just feel the need to be silly. Word play is always fun. I tried to write it with a fish in sea.
The world is my oyster, I shell not want especially with months that have R’s in them. These day’s and nowadays for that matter, anyways, we tend to move, ahead oh so fast, too fast for comfort, forgetting that we do have a life. We dwell on the past, the hurtful past and the good times not fade away but roll away like rock and roll and when the fat lady sang.
We look towards the future with all good intentions but in the marathon race of our life, we never get to the finish line for the future never slows down enough for us to catch up to it, or the fishing line to catch us a fish which is a deficiency. There you have it in a nut shell by a nut for the rest of you goobers to realize when you have it so good and plenty. In the candy dish of life you sit but never get happy. Remembering the past is a waste and reaching for the future is insane not in Jersey, New York or even incognito, for the now is all we have.
If your personal now is so bleak then make it better for yourself. If the future looks austere, don’t try and change it, the changes you make now will set the change for you. It may pay off in nickels but at least you got your two cents in so don’t pass the buck unless you are in Washington.
Many make an apathetic appeal and let things pass but that just stinks. You must try to be the top banana, the head of your own domain. Stop being sheep, being led by what anyone else tells you to do. Stop them before they pull the wool over your eyes and bleat you dry and when they ask you how much, you look them in their bloodshot eye’s and say “Yes sir, yes sir three bags full but you aint getting anything you haven’t earned.”
They tell you to speak when spoken to but how can we do this when maybe just maybe we want to speak to others first so we can get an answer for a change. Take the leap frog, and then you will be bending down waiting, not on tables but on your bended knees, which will end up like Wounded Knee. Watch what you ask for because the others might not be playing that game. The only good spirit is a dead spirit but don’t be so down. Get up off that ducks back and laugh at life, quack up at something silly for a change. Stop being a door mat. You may think there are people that would chop you up and spit you out and this might be true for the Jeffrey Domers of this world but they aint spitting jerky.
A punch line of a joke you heard one time or another can make you smile or maybe a joke or two. Remember folks, a box of ducks does not a quacker make. A chooch went to church to see a chum and he ended up sleeping with the fishes, think about that long stretch before the seventh inning falls upon you. Keep your powder dry but remember it makes a hell of a paste when wet. Read the writing on the wall before you wash it off. Be a leader not a gutter, an Indian, knot a Chief.
Before I leave you I will leave you with words of wisdom to ponder. Sticks and stones may break your bones but they made some great music now didn’t they? Damn there I go living in the past again.
